Scroll down for Spanish audio examples. - Onsite Survival & WorkPlace Spanish and English classes through various partnerships like The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Sarasota Memorial Hospital, The Adult & Community Education Center (ACEC); Community Foundation of Sarasota and on site classes with local businesses and institutions.
- Over 50 "occupational specific" courses are available. Learn to pronounce standard Spanish and communicate effectively at a basic level. No grammar rules, verb conjugations or complicated explanations during two hour sessions once a week for 8 weeks or one & two day intensive seminars.
- For Survival English, classes are available for basic Survival English and job specific classes for the hospitality, construction & the Green Industries (landscape, lawn maintenance, irrigation, golf etc.) We partner with:
- We follow the second language acquisition methods of "CommandSpanish"where it is treated as a psycho motor skill rather than a traditional cognitive & academic approach. Emphasis is on standard pronunciation, phonetic recognition, choral response, alpha-beta line oral practice, total physical response, role-playing and situation cards.
- All courses include cross cultural understanding units about our Hispanic/Latino communities.
